Thursday, August 28, 2003 I've recently come across an interesting observation. We as humans are generally very insecure beings. I was noticing how much UT paraphernalia there is at work. People come in every day with UT T-shirts, hats, etc. I see more UT paraphernalia at Dell than at UT! However, upon further investigation I discovered that the overwhelming majority of people working there don't have college educations. I don't know if they wear UT shirts because they want to appear more educated. Admittedly it could be perhaps because they like UT sports, but from my general observations, it seems that they want to appear more educated. From there, there were other observations that came to mind. The guys that brag about going to work out usually are the ones that don't go very often. The girls that refer to themselves as 'cute' usually aren't. We as humans generally try to cover up our weaknesses by trying to over-compensate. The value of money has changed in my mind. Instead of thinking: "That dinner was .86", my mind translates it into: "That dinner was about an hour and 20 minutes of work." It's an interesting way to look at things. It also puts larger purchases into perspective too. For example, a digital camera might be worth about a week's wages. It's weird to think that you can slave away for an entire week and only come out with a tiny little camera. Somehow I don't feel inclined to make many purchases even with the increase in cash flow. I could easily buy an Xbox, an MP3 player, or some mountain biking goodies, but now somehow everything seems kinda nice but unnecessary. I don't know what's wrong with me. oh yeah Mystery is solved! The man-woman is a man named Brandon. Bad news: I found out something I really didn't want to find out. As I was putting computers into the burn racks, I looked through to the other side only to see Brandon's back facing me. Under his shirt, bra straps were clearly visible. I don't know what's going on, and I hope to keep it like that......

Wednesday, August 27, 2003 You would think that a Fortune 500 company like Dell should run smoothly and efficiently. That's what I thought when I started working there. However, I've come to realize that the management is absolutely incompetent. I've never seen such a lack of common sense anywhere else. For example, today they were moving people around to try to maximize speed. They proceeded to bring builders to work in the testing area. After a while, they started to need more builders. So instead of calling back the builders, they tried to send testers to go build. The testers barely know how to build at all, and the builders working the the testing area were so slow at testing. It doesn't take a genius to figure out a decent plan. Or in another example, management knew about an order of 700 computers coming in that needed special power cords. They knew we only had about 100 powercords. Only until we ran out of power cords did they go running around trying to find some cords. And as we kept running out of cords, finding more, and running out again, the builders just kept right on building those special systems instead of stopping and building other systems. I may not be in a management position, but at least I am aware of the fact that 100 < 700. In still another situation, common sense was totally lacking. After computers are tested, they go to wipedown and then are put in boxes. The flow of the factory was slow one night, so they decided to put more people in the testing area to get more systems out of there. However, it was obvious that the boxers were seriously understaffed and were the limiting factor. So computers just piled up in a line while the understaffed boxers were trying their hardest to box the systems. The testing area had more people than necessary, and we just waited around while boxing tried to clear out the line. Pure genius. It wasn't until I said something that management got a clue. 45 minutes later they finally sent some people to the boxing line. There are many other examples I could tell you about. I wonder what is going through the mind of management. Some of the things they do are just so incredibly stupid. thats why i quit also because classes begin again

Wednesday, August 27, 2003 Goodbye Micheal Dell. Goodbye to working weekends. Goodbye to Friday paychecks. Goodbye to avoiding the ugly man doing a bad job of trying to be a woman. Goodbye to retarded management. Goodbye 9.5 hour work days. Goodbye to gay and lesbian co-workers. Goodbye to coming home at 2:30 in the morning. Goodbye to the indesribably hot asian manager from hong kong . Goodbye to having the restroom being coincidentally closed for cleaning whenever I need to go. Goodbye to david, Jason and Steve. Goodbye to dodging forklifts, and goodbye Dell.

Wednesday, August 27, 2003 I was an alien in a foreign land as I inspected the contents of Express. I was shopping with my cousin vivian, enamored by the strange methodology of sizing, and the trichotomy of the different cuts of jeans. My cousin went and requested a fitting room as I stood by, holding an armful of clothes for her. The sales assistant then asked my cousin, "Do you want me to get you a bigger fitting room so that both of you can go in?" Shock and awe was so clearly visible on both of our frozen faces that it prompted the sales representative to quickly say, "Oh, that wouldn't be right, would it?" Apparently, people must have done this before.

Monday, August 25, 2003 No study of Japan is complete without mention of two major themes, tatemae and honne (TAH-tay-MAH-ae and HON-neh), two concepts which are woven into the fabric of Japan as a nation. Tatemae could be translated as the ideas expressed in public or the way we pretend society is, while honne is the way we really feel, or the way the world really is. Often tatemae are the things you say to people in certain social situations, even though you don't feel that way inside. Tatemae can also exist in the society at large. For example, gambling is illegal in Japan, so you win "prizes" at Pachinko parlors, which you "sell" for money at small shops located conveniently next door. Prostitution is also illegal, yet there are "soaplands" where a beautiful girl will give you a "full body wash" in a bath And on Tokyo's busy Kan-Nana Bypass, the speed limit is a meager 40 kph (24 mph), but anyone actually going that speed would surely cause an accident so everyone speeds along at 90 kph (55 mph) or faster. Japan has many professional voice actors ("seiyu" in Japanese). Decades of quality Japanese animation has created a very strong tradition of voice acting in Japan, and popular voice actors become quite famous among fans -- there are even magazines dedicated to following the seiyu world, such as Voice Animage. Talented voice actors are quite in demand, and end up doing a wide variety of roles. Keiko Toda, one of the most famous seiyu, is best known for her role in the voice of Lala Sun, the tragic lover of Char Aznable and Amuro Rei in the original Gundam series. She's a very versatile actress though -- she's also the voice of Scully in the japanese version of the X-Files

Monday, August 25, 2003 Men hitting on women is called "nanpa" (if a girl hits on a guy it's reverse nanpa, or gyaku nanpa). Men will usually drive very flashy cars to try to attract females, complete with neon lights mounted inside and under the cars. Most women in Japan drive cars that look cute or feminine, like the Nissan March (sold as the Nissan Micra in Europe) or the Toyota Vitz.

Monday, August 25, 2003 A major challenge for men learning Japanese is to avoid picking up the nuances of women's speech, but since we're often learning from female teachers or girlfriends or wives, a lot of the input we receive is from females. There are many specific phrases that make up "female" Japanese, such as tag particles on the ends of sentences ("ne" or "kashira" on the ends of sentences, both of which mean "Isn't it?" or "Don't you?"), or using first-person pronouns that only females use ("atashi" instead of the more usual "boku"). If you learn too much female Japanese, you sound like you're gay. To balance yourself out while learning Japanese read lots of Fist of the North Star manga, When learning a language, there's no substitute for having native speaking friends of both sexes who can provide feedback to you. When I went to Japan, one of the first things I was fascinated with were the toilets there. Japanese-style toilets, which you squat over to use, were among the strangest things I'd ever seen, of course, but happily you only see these in public restrooms or in very old houses. Normal toilets in Japanese homes are very similar to those in the U.S., but they usually have a little sink at the top where water comes out of a faucet -- a handy way to wash your hands after doing your business. The water in the sink falls into the tank where it waits for the next person to come along and flush. Japanese are masters at invention, and the toilet seats which wash your butt, called washlets, are very popular throughout Japan They have features like bidet, a warm air dryer and a "water massage" function. If you go into older houses in Japan (at least outside of Tokyo), you can still find what the Japanese call a "bo-ton," a big tank in the ground that must be emptied every few months -- it gets its name from the sound of stuff falling into the tank. One complex topic is the role of women in Japan, and how that role differs from the West. For starters, Japan is definitely a man's paradise where men are uniquely able to take the lead in just about any area they want, politics, business, you name it, and where a woman will actually get a man a cup of coffee without thinking twice about it. Although there are laws against discrimination in the workplace as well as "seku-hara" (sexual harassment), there are many visible signs that Japan is for the most part a Man's Country. The best example of this was the lightning speed with which Pfizer's popular pill for men was approved for sale here by Japan's Diet, comprised almost entirely of the drug's target market. How about the Pill? Although available for 30 years in the West, birth-control pills remained illegal to dispense until a few months after the arrival of the popular drug for men, when Japanese lawmakers sheepishly admitted the double standard and approved it for sale. While much of this male-ism is pure unfairness to women on the part of Japan's men, it's important to realize that Japan is not America or Europe, and things are the way they are there partially because people prefer them that way. The reason that nearly all women work through their twenties then quit to get married and have children isn't due to some external pressure for them not to maintain a career; it's because that's generally considered the road to happiness for most women there in Japan, and they genuinely want to do things this way. Of course women don't like all aspects of this male-oriented society. Part of the reason things don't change is that the Japanese have a powerful talisman that allows them to deal with any unpleasant situation: the three words "shikata ga nai." This phrase means "it can't be helped," and Japanese they use regularly when they encounter anything that they feel they can't change (the more colloquial "sho ga nai" means the same thing). It's important to note that feminism never took root with Japanese women at all, and this is part of the reason why Japan looks very strange when viewed from the outside. In general, the Japanese family is a simpler thing than it is in America -- the husband in a family is the "daikoku bashira," the "big, black pillar" that supports the family; the wife usually concerns herself with education of the children and managing the home, although many balance this with work. And for the record, in virtually all Japanese families, the wife is the one who handles the household finances, doling out a small monthly allowance to her husband for him to spend on drinking with his friends and making sure the financial goals of the family are met first. Yes, men and women are very different in Japan, and these differences are built into the Japanese language in ways that an English-speaker would have trouble comprehending, since English is largely unisex. From birth, there are different pronouns for boys and girls to use. Guys use the polite "boku" or the rough-sounding "ore" (OH-ray) to refer to themselves, but girls get the more feminine-sounding "watashi" or "atashi" (or if they're trying to be annoyingly cute, they'll use their own names in place of the first-person pronoun, like they do in anime). For the second person pronoun, men often use masculine-sounding "omae" (OH-mah-aye) or the slightly condescending "kimi," but women usually use the neutral "anata." There are quite a few words which the Japanese use every day but which sound incredibly sexist if you analyze them. The most common word for husband is "shujin," which really means master. Two common words for wife used by older Japanese are "kanai" (lit. "in the house") and "okusan" ("Mrs. Interior"), implying that wives never leave the home. Of course, these are just words and no one considers their meanings all that deeply, but it's still interesting nevertheless.

Sunday, August 24, 2003 Japan's has two religions: Shinto, the indigenous religion of Japan which worships spirits (kami) in natural objects; and Buddhism. Showing their usual skill at adapting concepts from outside Japan and rearranging them to suit their needs, Shinto and Buddhism were fused together so that the two could coexist peacefully without war or conflict. One of the major themes to religion in Japan is that Japanese turn to Shinto for events that have to do with life (weddings, baby christenings, wishing for good fortune in the coming year), and Buddhism for events that deal with death (funerals, ceremonies for remembering past loved ones). So invisible is the line between Shinto and Buddhism that many young Japanese don't really understand the difference between a Shinto shrine ("jinja" in Japanese) and a Buddhist temple ("otera"). The most important day of the year to Japanese is January 1st, which is the day most Japanese head to their favorite Shinto shrine to pray for good luck in the coming year. But the second most important time of the year to Japanese is the Obon holidays, which runs from August 13-15. Ostensibly a kind of "homecoming day" for the souls of deceased family members, it's a time when Japanese usually return to their "real home" (jikka), i.e. their parents' home, and get together as a family, eat, drink -- not unlike Thanksgiving in the States. Like the anniversary of a person's death, Obon is a time to visit the graves of family members, to clean them with water, light an incense stick, leave fresh flowers, and update the deceased on family events, so they know they haven't been forgotten. There's a big rush out of Tokyo during this time of year, as everyone tries to leave the city early so they can avoid the packed trains -- and in a few days they'll all be coming back. High school in Japan is very different from in the U.S. For starters, students wear a uniform to school, and each school's uniform is different and unique (some schools get famous fashion designers to design their uniforms). High school is not compulsory, and no one is required to attend school past junior high -- although if modern Japanese society has a caste of "untouchables," it's people who stopped their education at age 15, without going onto high school. As with universities, students choose what high school they want to go to based on their goals -- if they want the best education and the best chance at getting into a top college, they will aim for Maebashi Boy's High School, the top-ranking school in Gunma Prefecture. Students who aspire to play high school baseball, very popular in Japan, might try to get into Maebashi Commercial High School, Interested in English? Kyoai High School's English track is excellent and they have exchange programs with schools in other countries, although most girls who choose Kyoai do so because the uniforms are the cutest in the prefecture. You don't just choose a high school to attend, though: you must pass a difficult entrance exam, just as with universities, and getting into the high school of your choice can be quite difficult. In fact, students who try to get into too difficult a school and fail the test often become "high school ronin" who don't go to school all year, and study to take the entrance exams again next time around. Although students will often try to go to the same high schools as their friends, it's very common for friends to be separated by going to different schools. It is impresseve the years of preparation most students take to get into the high school they wanted to attend. The actual decision of what school to try for, which has a great effect on a student's life, was nearly always made by the student himself rather than what the parents wanted. As Japan's population of young people declines, however, it's going to get easier and easier for students to get into difficult schools with less effort. Japan is a great place, but it's not the easiest to live in for everyone. Although the Japanese make an effort at being "international," the reality is that even things like reading signs and product packaging is a challenge if you don't have Japanese ability already. There are other differences to life in Japan compared with life in the West. Japan is almost completely cash based, and there is no such thing as checks of any kind -- many employees in Japan get a big envelope of bank notes on payday, not a paycheck. Credit cards are growing in use but are still quite far behind the U.S.

Sunday, August 24, 2003 10:49 p.m. Although Japan is a modern, safe country, and Japanese are usually kind and helpful to foreigners, there are some things you have to get used to if you're going to ever live there. Seafood pizza, crowded trains, drunk men on crowded trains, bank cash machines that close at 7 pm, having a naked girl sandwiched between articles in a news magazine -- they're all part of life in Japan. One minor frustration is getting used to the habit of Japanese shops and restaurants closing on a set day of the week, their "teikyubi" or regular weekly holiday. Whether you're going to the local department store to shop for new shoes you need, or heading to your favorite ramen shop, chances are you'll go there on the day it's closed, and have to make other plans. Japanese don't do this -- they have some latent knowledge about which stores are closed on which days, but gaijin aren't so lucky. Do you have a cat's tongue? If so, it means that you can't eat hot food or drink hot drinks, just like a cat. The Japanese say that anyone who avoids hot food has a cat's tongue (neko jita). When Western couples are going to have a baby, they might consult a book of names, which presents a list of possible names for boys and girls along with the etymology of each name is, and so on. Japanese have similar books, but it's a bit more complicated, as there are "lucky" and "unlucky" names depending on which kanji you choose. names with animal kanji in them are bad luck and would result in an unhappy life for the child. The number of strokes in a name is also important in Japan. the Western custom of naming a son after the father is never done in Japan (except for the anime charecter Lupin III, who is really half-French, half-Japanese, so he doesn't count). Yaoi fans should enjoy the new issue of Grand Slam, the yaoi parody of Prince of Tennis that collects great yaoi stories for you Have you ever wondered who's on Japanese money? Well, i'll tell you. The Japanese 1000 yen note features the famous 19th Century novelist Souseki Natsume The 5000 yen note has the face of Inazo Nitobe, one of the forefathers of modern Japan, and among the first Japanese to become fluent in English (he was a student of Professor Clark, an American who founded Sapporo University, and left behind the words "Boys, be ambitious," which are very famous in Japan). The 10,000 yen note, pretty much the "basic" unit of currency in Japan (roughly equal to a 0 bill), features Yukichi Fukuzawa, another modernizer in the Meiji Period, and founder of Keio University.

Jason considered leaving for the NBA after his freshmen year but his dedication to Bruin Basketball led him back for not 1, 2 but 3 more years! He had to endure the turmoil of the Lavin era and at one point there were rumors that he would not be drafted after a poor senior season but he has worked his ass back into position to crack the 1st or early 2nd round. Congrats Jason!

tuesday Its only tuesday and im already pretty tired and ready for the weekend. Working till 5 or 6 everyday is sucking but its ok. I'm busting my ass off cuz it will pay off in the future. Monday, May 26, 2003 Tis memorial day, time to reflect on those who have fallen....Alright anyways summer is good...all is well...I need to find a job where I can get some quick easy bucks... Saw UCLA beat down "National Player of the Year" Cat Osterman two times in a row...Told ya chris! Yesterday I woke up and my parents told me all this free shit that I could get at various electronic stores so I quickly drove up there and got about 0 worth of free shit ranging from a 52X burner to telephones..You know where theres free shit, I'm there...Spent hours installing the burner cuz I had to switch mine and give my 32x to my sis...Then the problems started and both of our comps got fucked up, so I had to sit there and figure it out...Now my knees hurt like a biatch from kneeling and my fingers are sore...

Saturday, May 24, 2003 These past 10 days have been real tough. But I am announcing that I will be staying at the University of Texas. However, I am leaving the slight possibility of changing my mind. This has been the toughest decision of my life. Everyone expected me to leave right after I got the letter but it was not that easy. As much as my mind and body tell me to leave UT, I believe that I have the obligation/duty to make my parents proud and to always step up to the challenge. Basically there was no other way. As with any relocation/life decision there will be risks. If i had left i would be leaving behind a place where I have become well established relationships with professors, friends and research opportunities. What worried me is essentially becoming a freshman again and starting over from scratch. The consequences of failure are great if i had gone to california. At UT I enjoyed great success,I am basically set for a business major and I would be leaving that behind for the opportunity to study elsewhere. With all the expectations/pressures layed upon me since day 1 I know this is what I have to do. This past year at UT has been great and much better than I ever expected. I came in with much resentment/disappointment and wanted to leave right away People say that you don't know what you have/had until you lose it. Well I already know that I would be missing out on the camaderie that was there with the boys. I will miss playing ball at Gregory Gym, runnin around San jac being stupid, late night trips to get grub, chillin with the crew, west campus tours, showin up frat daddies, late night booty calls and such.

Saturday, May 24, 2003 Haha, gay ass mavs are thru now that their star is hurt. Like Fratello said, they are lucky not to be down 3-0 cuz game 1 was a gift. I guess order is slightly restored in the league. LeBron James is gonna crumble under the pressure in Cleveland from fans and Nike. That fool will suck it up while Melo dominates in Denver. Even UT fans who don't really know basketball outside of TJ Ford think that Melo will be the man next yr. Went to a party Chris knew about with David. I didn't know anyone there so I was sittin in my car with David waiting for Chris and his crew to arrive. This blazer pulls up next to me and theres 3 girls in there. So I take a closer look and theres Lauren in the back and I'm like ohhh shit you gotta be kiddin me. Went into the house and james got a closer look and was like yup there she is. Apparently she was gettin friendly with everyone cuz she didn't know anyone there. I walked up and said I met you before and she said I know and I said but i dont remember where. Then chris walks right past her and she's like hey we know that guy. And he just ignores her it was hilarious. Then her and her 2 boppin friends left and I went outside to talk and then see that they were just chillin in their car prob drinkin some shit to make her "throwed" so I walk down there to put my wallet in my car and she gets out and was like "my friends want to go somewhere else but I don't want to go so do you wanna get into your car and just talk and catch up on things?"...So i was thinkin damn this hoe wants to fuck but knowing she was a playa, I didn't wanna give in to her and be another one of her accomplishments so I said nah I gotta get back to my boys. Went back to the house, saw David talkin to some blonde girl me and Joon talked to before named Liz who apparently goes to St Ed's in South ATX. For some reason Dave thought she was dissin him when she asked if he knew anyone here. He was all like man I think she's sayin that I'm asian so I don't belong here so I think i'm gonna be an ass to her and fuck with her. Well as it turns out the girl was hella nice and Dave just doesn't know what the deal is cuz I guess its not everyday he gets hit on. So we were talkin bout Lauren and as it turns out she's most likely gonna be a hs jr next yr. Freakin disgusting considering who knows how many guys she's done the dirty dirty with every weekend at various frat parties we see her at. This is the same hoe who told me she was a marine bio major and chris that she was a philosophy major....Hahahaha...

Sunday, May 18, 2003 Andy came back to atx yesterday for a job interview at the UT Health Center...apparently that fool will be stackin condoms and such this summer...we hung out at the gym and then hit up barton creek mall to check out some stuff... i hope the pistons win it all..the thought of tim duncan holding the trophy almost makes me wanna hurl...hmmm i made a 93 on my bio 213 final but the fat bitch wont gimme an A...screw that, if you make an A on the final you should get an A...oh well who cares its only 2 hrs out of 76...

Friday, May 16, 2003 THE END OF A GREAT ERA The laker dynasty most likely ended earlier tonite...It is pretty likely that Phil Jackson may retire due to health issues...Shaq needs some time to rest those knees as he is beginning to get older...I'm sure a lot of people are very happy tonite..After all, the champs are out...Heard that kobe and d-fish were crying after the game...As a fan thats all you can ask for, players showing emotion...KB started out well but faded, I'm sure he will come back next year with somethin to prove knowin how competitive he is... This series, the spurs were better simply cuz they were deeper and more athletic...The injuries to Fox, George, Fisher, Shaq did not help either....Mitch Kupchack shoulda gone out and signed someone last summer...Oh well, i'm sure there will be changes...Horry sucks, wtf 2-40 3 pt...Pathetic, trade his ass away for someone who can play D on the MVP Tim Duncan who played a fabulous game... Just finished watchin "Remember The Titans"...It was a damn good movie...Them boys played with heart, if only we played with half the heart they had then we woulda already won state a few times... Summer has been ok...Went to the Oasis yesterday and didn't really do too much today...Right now i'm torn on whether to transfer or not...There are lots of things to consider...I will have an announcement within the next 10 days on here so keep checkin back...

Thursday, May 15, 2003 i'm working on about 3 1/2 hours of sleep right now. last night i was able to catch one of the very first showings of "the matrix: reloaded". very cool, i might add. definitely a worthwhile movie, given the first movie, given all the hype, given the plot... although i might add that i think i didn't feel the same way coming out of this movie as i did coming out of the first one. the first time, i had no idea what "the matrix" was all about, and the whole plot and premise of the movie was completely new to me. this time around, i kinda knew what to expect, and so maybe it was a different kind of rush afterwards. it still lived up to expectations of course, and i can't wait to play the video game. in fact, it's sitting on my desk at home waiting for me to tear it open.

Wednesday, May 14, 2003 07:48 p.m. Damn, thats all i can say about school officially ending...I can't believe that this year is already over, its been fun for sure. Right now im so tired i can't think right..I will unpack tomorrow...Freakin lakers lost tonite...But way to come back from 25 down...Rob Horry had the open look, sometimes things just dont go down...They will win the next two so its all good... Woke up late, packed, moved some crap, packed, said my goodbyes and watched the game...Thanks for everyone for making this year fun...Found out that I made my A in Sociology...I'm damn proud considering I worked hella hard to finish strong...

Tuesday, May 13, 2003 School is over! its about time. I didn't think this day would ever come. All last week, I kept thinking what if I couldnt make it all the way to saterday. My crazy studying marathon ended. Shit I studied an avg of 7 hrs a day for the last 10 days...Ahhh...Wow, can't believe the year is over...Now its time to sit back and chill for a while... I also found out yesterday that Washington wants me and offered thru a phone call yesterday...Its been long overdue...Right now i just gotta see what credits they will give me and if they give me any money and such...I would like to take this time to thank all my friends who have been there for me this year... Lakers are back, yeah! LA in 6 for sure...Well i'm hella tired so imma crash...Write more later...take care people...

Wednesday, May 7, 2003 01:15 p.m. Yesterday was pretty weird...I started out studyin real good for the first 2.5 hrs...Then i went back to study at 3:30 and some fat bitch comes in with so much food and just annoyed the shit outta me...The crinkling of the wrappers screwed me up...Then i pressed too hard and went down to the basement and tried to study in the lab...So yeah i wasn't very efficient...Its ok, i've bounced back pretty well so far today...I'm bout to head back to do bio so i can watch the laker game tonite...Its a must win game for the good guys...Went down to get free cookies last nite at JCL...Nice little studybreak

Tuesday, May 6, 2003 09:20 a.m. The pressure is on. Everyone that has finals has been studyin like crazy. I spent 7 hrs today studying for bio..freakin insane...Found out i made a 83 on the physics lab final when the class avg was 57. Highest grade in the class...Pretty funny considering i didn't know what the hell was goin on in that class till last week. Oh well its all about how you finish...Champs finish strong...Made a 100 on my chem test, not a big deal cuz im just handlin my business... Speaking of champs, the lakers are up against the wall with the loss of devean george...I expect them to rebound in game 2. Garnett and T-Mac are dumbasses who talked shit too early, which is why they are home now...I'm a newfound Ben Wallace fan...Just recently saw him play, love the way he plays D and grabs every loose ball... Finals fucking blow...Good luck to everyone studyin hard...Cant believe some people dont have any finals and are already outta here...sheesh

Friday, May 2, 2003 Can't believe that today is the last day of class. Just got done taking my final sociology exam. Hopefully i did well enough to get an A. Spent all day yesterday studying. I'm pretty glad the class is over. No more homosexual professors and such. I skipped the chem test yesterday, now i gotta do it sunday evening cuz i was studying for sociology. The class avg was pretty high which sucks cuz i want people to suck it up so the exmption cutoff will be lowered. Oh well i will most likely make an A anyways so it don't matter. Everythings been cool lately, it seems like all the pieces are finally comin together for me. I have no idea whether i will be in california or Austin next year but either way will be cool. Staying here will cost bout k while goin there will cost over k. If they don't give me enough credits then I won't go. No way in hell im giving up 62 hrs of work to start over. Right now im bored outta my mind and at some piece of shit library at RLM waiting for my bio discussions. This afternoon imma chill and then start studying for my 2 bio finals which dont start till next saturday. Considering how shitty this semester has been, I feel damn good that my gpa will possibly have only dropped .05 which is not too bad. Later tonite i'll prob just go out with the usual guys Ryan, Chris, james, kevin and hit up catherin's party. Lakers wrecked shop for the 3rd straight game. There was never a doubt that them boys would come thru. Devean George is badass, love the way he plays. Next up, the Spurs....TJ ford left for the NBA...I knew all along that he would never come back...That leaves Texas with Paulino as the point lol. Buckman says he has a lot of stuff to work on this summer... Anyways im out, this shit is gettin way too long...

Wednesday, April 30, 2003 registration is grrr....don't know what to take.....don't have enough hours.....going to be taking a Final during registration period.....it sucks....Any suggestions for an easy class?
